With the NCAA's annual March Madness frenzy getting down to its final week, Nike Sportswear recently launched a series of Elite Snapbacks under its Sports Specialties subsidiary to highlight some of their most beloved schools in the tourney.

Sports Specialties, founded in Chicago by Robert Warsaw in 1928, was of course the very first cap maker to secure a licensing agreement with a pro sports team. After kicking things off with several licensed novelty items for the local Chicago Cubs franchise, the family-run Sports Specialties had grown through the decades and began manufacturing sportswear items for the NFL, NBA, NCAA Tournament and Super Bowl by the 1960s.

A subsidiary of Nike since a 1992 acquisition, the latest Sports Specialties collection of caps includes retro inspired snapbacks for UCONN, Duke, Kentucky, Syracuse, North Carolina, Arizona and Florida. You can check for the lineup now at NSW accounts.
