In November of 2010, the sneaker community was turned upside down by the release of the "South Beach" Nike LeBron 8, a pastel colorway that paid tribute to LeBron's Miami arrival and the city's famous Art-deco architecture. Since then, any shoe remotely following the same motif has been bestowed with a "South Beach" nickname, but have failed to yield the same success. Perhaps best suited to live up to the lofty expectations that come with the nickname is this upcoming LeBron 9 Elite colorway.
The shoe features a Wolf Grey synthetic and mesh upper with a black carbon fiber overlay for additional support. "South Beach" inspiration comes into play with Mint Candy Swoosh logos, New Green laces and midsole and Pink Flash on the midfoot support harness and inner lining. Supporting the ride below is a mint 180-Max Air bag and translucent outsole.
Now that photos have surfaced, you're probably wondering when you'll be able to take your shot at picking up a pair. This LeBron 9 Elite will hit retailers on Saturday, June 2. Retail will be $250.
