Though LeBron James appeared to be running away with this year's NBA MVP Award in the early stages of the season, Kevin Durant has made the case to take home the honors as well. After going for 40 and 17 in a double-overtime thriller on Friday night, KD followed up with a 28, 9 and 8 performance in a winning effort against James' Miami Heat yesterday. The two-time defending scoring champ is also inching closer toward Kobe Bryant's league-leading average, which may put him on the fast track to be named the league's best for first time in his young career.
In recent games, Durant has been lacing up new Player Exclusive colorways of his popular signature shoe, the Nike Zoom KD IV. Pictured here is the new 'Away' colorway, which features an anodized Navy Blue upper with OKC-inspired orange and Photo Blue accenting throughout.
