Kicks on Cards: Weekly Collection with Marcus Camby in the Nike Air MZ3

Up this week you'll see the forgotten Nike Air MZ3, one of the first Air Jordan IX retros, and more!

Happy Friday and welcome to another edition of the Kicks on Cards Weekly Collection!  This week we start things off with Marcus Camby way back in his Toronto Raptor days.  On Camby's feet are the awesome but forgotten Nike Air MZ3.  The MZ3 released in 1997 and featured a metallic detaling on the side of each shoe, similar to the Zoom Flight '97, but with more of a liquid mercury look.  Complete it with tumbled leather, Air Max 2 in the heel, and clear plastic piping for the heel pull tab, and we have one nice shoe.  Would anybody else like to see a retro of these?

Next up is Joe Barry Carroll on a classic Skybox card in another forgotten, but very nice shoe.  Everybody knows the Nike Air Flight '89, but the 1991 version of Nike's flagship Flight model has faded into obscurity.  Here we see Joe in a very clean white/orange/purple colorway matching his Suns uniform.  For the next card, we go a few years later down the Phoenix Suns timeline and spot "Ironman" A.C. Green in the Reebok Swingman.  The Swingman (not to be confused with Ken Griffey Jr.'s Nike line) was a standard Reebok basketball shoe from about 1995-96.  You may remember them as the shoe with the "88" on the heel that you could color in to customize with your own number.

Ending this week's collection is Scott Skiles in the Nike Air Maestro's lesser seen hightop version, and to satisfy all you Jordan heads, Darius Miles in his size 18 Air Jordan IX French Blue and Flint colorway.  As always, drop a comment with your favorites below!
