The frontrunner for NBA Rookie of the Year at the break, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie irving was selected to start for Team Chuck in the Rising Stars Challenge. Kyrie didn't disappoint on the big stage, knocking down all eight of his three-point shot attempts en route to 34 points for the victorious Barkley-selected squad. For his performance, Irving was awarded Game MVP honors, which figure to be the first of many in his promising career.
After dazzling fans in Orlando on Friday night, Kyrie stopped by House of Hoops Orlando on Saturday for Nike Basketball's Launch Command event. Representing the youth of the Swoosh, he spoke about his personal pair of "Galaxy" Foamposites, the first pair of Nike shoes that really made him go crazy and what keeps him motivated.
