words // Brandon Richard

Prior to today's Super Bowl, the NFL held their first ever Honors Ceremony in Indianapolis last night, handing out most of the season's awards before the final piece of hardware is presented after tonight's game. Taking home AP Rookie of the Year Honors was Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who re-wrote the record books in his first campaign.

Cam finished with rookie records for most passing yards in a game (432), most passing yards in a season (4,051) and most touchdowns (35). Newton also broke the overall record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 14.

Can Cam play in the league? Of course he can, and with that understood, he talks second season improvement in this new video released by Under Armour.

Additionally, Under Armour has released a new "Fear No1" Newton signature t-shirt, based on Cam's Superman celebration. They also announced that his UA Highlight cleats will be released in April. While you wait, you can stop by UnderArmour.com to pick up all of the gear worn by the Rookie of the Year.
