This year figures to be big for the Nike Air Force 1, which will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary with a variety of special releases. Also being observed in 2012 is the change from Year of the Rabbit to Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac, a source of inspiration for many sneaker designs in the months to come. Continuing an annual tradition, Nike Sportswear is set to release an Air Force 1 Low to mark the occasion.
The Year of the Dragon Air Force 1 features a black satin base with an all-over tonal graphic print. Scale-textured leather is used for Swoosh branding on the side panels, while the image of a dragon appears on the tongue badge. Additional dragon-inspired details appear on the insole, leaving a contrasting solid white rubber outsole to finish off the look below.
Also take note of the special edition "AF1-XXX" Anniversary box that will be included with Air Force 1 releases this year.
Release information for the "Year of the Dragon" Air Force 1 is not yet available, but we'll keep you posted here at Sole Collector.
