After over two years without a tournament victory, Tiger Woods rallied over the final two holes to win the Chevron World Challenge last weekend. Tiger scored back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18, executing his signature fist pump after knocking down the final putt. Tiger, Tiger Woods, y'all

Tiger accomplished the feat in the Nike Golf Free Prototype, a developmental shoe that incorporates Nike FREE technology. The new shoe seeks to provide enchanced comfort and stability for Woods, who encountered several knee problems over the years. The upper uses a polyurethane coated stretch fabric, seen in a similar application on the Nike Hyperdunk 2011. The Free outsole design is borrowed from the Nike Special Field Boot, featuring traction modifications for golfing.

The win marks a triumphant end to a trying year for Woods. Tiger will set out again in Abu Dhabi in January, seeking continued success in 2012.  Stay tuned to Sole Collector for more information regarding the Nike Golf Free Prototype.
