In another life, Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin says he would have taken on a job as a late-night talk show host. That answer was given to Nike Basketball reps when they approached a few of their key athletes during the NBA lockout and asked them what they'd be doing if they weren't professional basketball players. With Blake's suppressed late-night aspirations and Kevin Durant's interesting alternate career path a weatherman, the Nike Basketball "Lockout Pack" was born.
Nike captured Blake's talk show dreams in this special "The Blake Show" make-up of the Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme. The shoe sports a grey Flywire-embedded synthetic upper with a webbed TPU overlay. Blue lines the interior, while red is used for the laces and midsole. Swoosh branding on each side is done in metallic silver and the outsole is finished off in grey. Personalized elements on the shoe include "BG32" on the tongue, custom microphone graphics on the heels and a Blake Show logo visible through the translucent outsole.
No word on a release date for these yet, but we'll alert you here at Sole Collector when we hear something.
