At October's Sole Collector x Nike Las Vegas Zoom Rookie LWP launch event, Gentry Humphrey laid out the groundwork for everything you need to know about the Foamposite for 2012. The newly appointed NSW Category Footwear Leader pulled out one new colorway after another from his trunk of samples, including this vibrant pair he slapped with a "Golden State" nickname. That name, of course, refers to the team that originally drafted Penny Hardaway - the Golden State Warriors.
The shoe features a bright Electrolime foam-based upper with the usual black nubuck running along the eyestay and toebox. Additional Electrolime hits can be found on the tongue, Swoosh embroidery and both pull-tabs, as well as Penny's famous 1 CENT logo. Below, the look is finished off with a black carbon fiber shank plate and translucent outsole.
The "Golden State" Nike Air Foamposite One will hit NSW retailers next year. Stick with Sole Collector for updates.
