Previously referenced as the "L-Trains" and "Blue Lines" (from the designer himself), the red-based colorway of the adidas adiZero Rose 2 that Derrick Rose will wear on Christmas Day has now been slapped with the nickname of "Windy City." Inspired by Chicago's blue line "L" train and the holiday season, the shoe features an anodized upper to give the brushed metal look of subway cars with a fire red finish to look like a holiday gift on the court. Other details include a Chicago subway map on the insole and a blue adiZero pin line on the upper to rep the blue line "L" train.
Pairs were released early at select Chicago area retail spots for Black Friday, but you'll officially have the opportunity to pick up the "Windy City" Rose 2 when they drop nationally on December 15th at retailers like Eastbay and shopadidas.
