Wherever Dwight Howard takes the court for the second half of the 2011-2012 NBA season, he'll be doing so in his brand new signature shoe, the adidas adiPower Howard 2. Seen here in home and away Orlando colorways, the adiPower Howard 2 features a synthetic build and a broken glass pattern on the upper symbolic of Dwight's power. Also visible on the upper is Howard's new "dh" logo, which is centered on the tongue above his name.
Tech features include TPU stripes, an external heel counter for added stability, ALIVE cushioning, a new TORSION system and Cilia traction pattern. What also separates the adiPower Howard 2 from any Dwight signature of the past is the incorporation of adidas' interactive coaching and training platform miCoach, which was also worked into the upcoming adiZero Rose 2.5.
The adidas adiPower Howard 2 is scheduled to launch in early February. Retail will be $100.
