With the fall season upon us and the weather changing to cooler and wetter conditions, many of us may be starting to break out our boots.  This week's vintage ad takes a look at a classic from Nike's early line of hiking boots, before the ACG (All Conditions Gear) branding even existed.  The Baltoro boot was a big and bold model from Nike Hiking.  In a variety of bright colorways, it helped set the tone for the next few years of ACG product colorways.

This ad from 1990 -- with many more words than today's attention span can handle for an advertisement -- tells a story of hiking up Mt. Washington, only to get to the top and find a parking lot of tourists who drove.  These boots were retroed a few years ago, but with a slight modification of no mesh panels.  Would you like to see them return in their original form?
