From comics to clothing, Jamie Hewlett is well-known for his unique visuals. He is probably most renowned, though, for his virtual band, Gorillaz, co-founded with former Blur lead singer Damon Albarn.

Hewlett recently teamed up with Converse to produce a capsule collection built off of the popular Chuck Taylor All-Star, using Gorillaz-themed visuals throughout. Featured below is one of the available footwear offerings from the collection, with a green camoflauge-like print utilized on the shoe's canvas upper.  The Gorillaz x Converse collection will also feature musical accompaniment as part of Converse's "Three Artists. One Song" series.

As virtual drummer Russel Hobbs explains, "We've been trading in ideas and conversing with one another for 10 whole years...Plus I've been wearing my Chuck Taylors since forever."

The collection expects to release in February 2012. Stay tuned to Sole Collector for more information.
