Among the many sneakers that were unveiled for the first time at our Nike x Sole Collector Penny Hardaway event on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Gentry's Humphrey's "Galaxy" Air Foamposite One sample definitely seemed to catch everyone's attention.

Originally pegged for a limited release in February during the NBA All-Star Weekend, the "Galaxy" theme comes simply from the amount of other-wordly talents and All-Stars slated to be in Orlando this February, according to Humphrey. There's a multi-colored planetary graphic along the entire molded upper, as well as a constellation pattern on the lateral midfoot.

With the uncertainty of the NBA lockout weighing on everyone, and the Sportswear team looking to perhaps tame the shoe down a bit from its extreme blend of colors, this version won't be releasing anytime soon and will remain just a sample, Humphrey confirmed backstage after the event.

A more subdued version featuring a combination of black, purple, blue and green -- that just so happened to be sitting in the copper trunk of samples on stage all night long -- might be releasing this spring instead. Stay tuned...
