Jeremy Guthrie Air Jordan I PE Cleat Orioles Baltimore

words // Brandon Richard

If you've been keeping up at home, Baltimore Orioles pitcher Jeremy Guthrie is the biggest sneakerhead in Major League Baseball. Any doubt about it is erased when you lay your eyes on his sweet home-installed vaulted sneaker closet in Utah, where he stores his collection of Jordans, Nikes and cleated baseball player exclusives he's collected from throughout the years.

Yesterday, Jeremy gave Sole Collector the heads up that he'd most likely be wearing something special on the mound for his start against the Toronto Blue Jays. In true Guthrie fashion, he didn't disappoint, lacing up a never-before-seen Air Jordan I PE cleat. What appears to be a cleated version of the Black/Max Orange Air Jordan I also features a rubber pitching toe cap on the right cleat.

Jeremy pitched six innings, giving up 6 hits and striking out 5 batters in a 6-5 win for the Orioles. Check out photos of Jeremy in action below.
