Outside of a brief stay at the University of Memphis, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has spent his entire life in the Windy City. Rose was born in Chicago, raised in Chicago, attended Simeon Career Academy in Chicago and is now the first Bull since Michael Jordan to bring home MVP honors. With his personal ties to the Chi, you can expect to see a lot of the city's inspiration packed into the Rose adidas signature line, which is evident in the upcoming "L-Train" adiZero Rose 2.0 release.
Taking on a theme of the "L" Chicago Transit System, the bright red-based shoe features black and white accents, as well as Intense Blue hits that correspond with the L's route on a special sock liner. Photos here suggest they'll come with a spare set of blue laces, a nice contrast to the black laces we've seen used in previous photo sets.
The "L-Train" Rose 2.0 dropped exclusively in China last week in preparation for this week's Derrick Rose Tour. Stateside sneakerheads will have to wait until mid-December, when they'll hit retailers like Eastbay. Until then, check out another round of detailed photos below.
