As you know, surf apparel makers Hurley have been under the Nike umbrella for almost the past 10 years. With that said, what better way to introduce fans of the Swoosh to Hurley's recently released Flywire-based Phantom 4D boardshorts than with a matching pair of the classic Air Max 90.

And for those of you who haven't seen the recently released Phantom 4D boardshorts, they're the latest non-footwear product from the Swoosh to utilize Flywire technology. The Phantom 4D boardshorts feature a first of it's kind 'biomimic' waistband that moves with the body and engineered compression zones to keep the shorts in place while the body is in motion.

As for the shoes, they're directly inspired by the Phantom 4D boardshort, featuring the artwork of artist James 'Dalek' Marshall throughout the entire seamless upper. Limited to 500 pairs, the Hurley x Nike Air Max 90 is set to release very soon at the opening of Salvation Malibu, Nike's latest retail concept which combines the Swoosh, Converse and Hurley.

Enjoy a closer look below, and be sure to keep it locked to Sole Collector for further details on this limited release of the Hurley x Nike Air Max 90 'Phantom 4D.'
