Here's one of the more unexpected pieces of sneaker news we've heard this year. About 18 years after FILA's The Cage hit retail in 1993, we've received word that the vintage model is making a retro return in 2012. The high-top, which gets its name from a "cage" piece that wraps the heel, will be back in a variety of new colorways with some slight design modifications.
Most notably, the cage gets a change in material, now being produced with memory foam instead of the rubber used for the originals. There are also some changes you'll notice on the midsole.
