A little more than twenty-five years ago, video-gaming was changed forever when Nintendo introduced the Super Mario Bros. platform game in September of 1985. For more than two decades, the original Super Mario Bros. game reigned as the best selling video game of all time and the franchise is still the subject of new game releases to this day. To celebrate the game's 25th Anniversary, Converse has produced a special set of Chuck Taylor All Stars featuring graphics from the iconic video game.
Available in white and black canvas builds, the Super Mario Bros. Chuck Taylors are dressed in repeating 8-bit Mario graphics. Additionally, there is Mario-style branding on the tongue and the classic Chuck Taylor All Star logo gets a bit of a makeover, being replaced with the Super Mario invincibility star.
Look for these to be available at Japanese retailers, like Shoes Master, in July.
