Jordan V.9 Grown - July 2011

The Jordan Brand is set to launch the next shoe in their casual 'Grown' series in July.

words // Brandon Richard

If we're being completely honest, the Jordan Brand's casual lifestyle offerings have been extremely 'hit or miss' over the years, with the majority falling on the wrong side of that equation. However, things seemingly made a turn for the best last year, when the brand released the chukka-style V.2 Grown, which blended evening wear appeal with heritage detailing. They followed up with the low-cut V.5 Grown Low in March and will continue the series with the V.9 Grown this summer.

The V.9 Grown is a refined vulcanized mid-top that is brought to life with premier material selections. Two pairs will drop in July, including a Velvet Brown leather look and another made of obsidian denim. We see Jordan II-style ribbing on the heels of each shoe and 'Wings' branding returns for duty on the midsoles. Retailing for $90, the new model will be released in July.
