Before sneaker designer Jason Mayden left his post over at the Jordan Brand to pursue his master's degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business last summer, the Chicago native had a meeting with Chris Paul to iron out the final details of the CP3.IV. During the meeting, Jason presented Paul with a gesture of appreciation - a customized pair of Air Jordan XIs.

Featuring a handpaint job by Atlanta-based artist Mike McCoullagh, the shoes feature a colorful pattern that represents the blood, sweat and tears that were part of CP3's journey from the halls of West Forsyth High School in North Carolina to the Gold Medal podium in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Two pairs of the custom XIs were created; one for CP3 and another for his brother. Mayden says he gave them the gifts as "a sign of his love and respect for them as friends, athletes and Jordan Brand family members."
