Just when skeptics were ready to knock Kobe Bryant off of his block in favor of younger superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, the "old man" drops 37 points and grabs 14 points to win All-Star Game MVP. Though the star-studded mid-season exhibition isn't exactly proving grounds, it was clear that Kobe wanted to make sure that league foes understood that he doesn't plan on rolling over to give up the Larry O'Brien Trophy anytime soon. Sure, the Lakers have struggled, but does anybody really expect the team to not have a say in determining the outcome of the Finals?
In his quest to tie MJ with ring number 6, you'll once again see Kobe wear his signature shoe in POP (Playoff Pack) colorways. Seen here is a pair decked out for home games, sporting a white polyurethane scale-textured upper with black working the Swoosh, heel counter and midsole. Maize appears on the inner liner and outsole, giving the shoe a LIVESTRONGesque vibe.
