We all know that when it comes to quality control in sneaker manufacturing every company out there could benefit from stepping it up a little bit. When it comes down to it, most of the time corners are cut in the name of the all mighty dollar because that is ultimately what keeps companies in business. There are a few companies that have maintained quality manufacturing processes over the years. Of course the expense of keeping skilled workers and factories in places where real estate is at a premium often times comes at a premium price.

One of the most well known examples of this is with the New Balance lifestyle line. The fact that New Balance is one of the only manufacturers still producing shoes in the USA is impressive but the company's US production might not even be the top of the line. Depending on who you ask, it's often the Flimby factory that outshines the rest when it comes to high quality creations.

End Clothing recently got a chance to take a behind the scenes look at the production process at the Cumbria, England location which is responsible for making the recent Lake District Pack (which End is giving away on their blog) For over 28 years the Flimby factory has churned out New Balance sneakers at some of the highest quality standards possible. A team of about 210 people make sure that every release is up to par with the rest and it shows in how well these releases continue to sell out time and again.

Check out some of the photos from the Flimby factory below and you can see the rest over on the End Flickr page.
