Derrick Rose's second signature shoe may going down in history as the kicks he wore to seal the deal on his very first MVP campaign. Chicago's homegrown point guard has the Bulls (not even at full strength) looking like one of the elite teams in the NBA. For that reason, "Pooh" will be the starting point guard for the Eastern Conference in next month's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. It is there that he will debut his new sneaker - the adiZero Rose 1.5 by adidas.
Following the same principles established with the adiZero Rose, the 1.5 keeps it light and low to the ground. The shoe features SprintSkin construction and air mesh windows on the upper to ensure a lightweight and breathable experience. Chicago's architecture inspired elements of the shoe's look, including the peak on the vamp. Notches on the shoe's collar aid the fitting of adidas' Speedwrap ankle braces, while PureMotion pods on the outsole enhance natural movement.
The adiZero Rose 1.5 is seen here in three different colorways. White and Black based looks were created for the Bulls' home and away games, while an All-Star colorway features the same 'Red Carpet' design cues as Dwight Howard's Superbeast.
Look out for the adiZero Rose 1.5 to hit stateside retailers in the coming weeks.
