The adidas Basketball division is often criticized for not taking advantage of holidays and other festive occasions to drop special sneakers for the athletes that endorse the brand. That certainly won't be the case on St. Patrick's Day in March, when they're set to drop green-based sneakers for their top two stars - Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard. With St. Patty's Day falling into the second half of the NBA season, adidas has created a green colorway of the adiZero Rose 1.5 for Derrick to wear when the Bulls play the Nets on March 17th.
Here's another look at the St. Patrick's Rose 1.5, which features a white and green upper with SprintSkin side paneling. Intense green accents the shoe at various points throughout, including the 4-leaf clover optical illusion design on the tongue. Equating the 'Luck of the Irish" to that of the Chicago Bulls, the date Rose was drafted by the franchise is represented by a numbered clover on the insole.
Look for the St. Patrick's adiZero Rose 1.5 to hit retailers like Eastbay on March 15th.
