For the Orlando Magic, traveling to Cleveland for the last few years has always come with a big game feel. The two teams had established somewhat of an inner-conference rivalry, but that all departed when LeBron made his decision this past summer. Orlando made their first of two trips to Quicken Loans Arena this year on Tuesday night to face off with the depleted Cavaliers.
Also no stranger to big games in the Q is new Magic guard Gilbert Arenas, whose former team in Washington also shared a feud with the Cavs a couple seasons back. In tonight's game, Gilbert returned to a familiar scene with some familiar footwear. As Sole Collector first pointed out on Twitter, Arenas laced up the "Space Jam" Air Jordan Retro 11. The "Space Jams" seem to be a sneaker Gil breaks out when his shot isn't falling. In a game against the Raptors earlier this season, he made a halftime switch from the Anniversary Air Jordan Retro 9 to the Jams, and shot significantly better from the field. The results were the same tonight, as Arenas had his best game as a member of the Magic. Gil dropped 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, adding an impressive 11 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals on the night.
Another great thing about tonight's game is our own Zac Dubasik (Cleveland native) was in attendance for the game and got to spend some time speaking with Gilbert. Keep checking Sole Collector for an exclusive interview with Hibachi himself.
