10.23.10 marked the first official event put together by Jordan and Sole Collector to celebrate the release of the Jordan CMFT 11 SC. Releasing in only Santa Monica, Chicago and NYC, it was no easy task to get a hold of a pair. Aside from the shoes being released, it was truly an amazing day in all three cities.

Chicago was the first lucky bunch to get their hands on the kicks releasing exclusively at Niketown Chicago. With only 23 pairs releasing in the city where it all started for the Air Jordan, getting your hands on a pair was pretty tough.

With only 23 pairs being released, loyal windy city collectors wasted no time lining up.

Chi-Town Air (O.G. Ric) was first in line, wearing the '05 NYC SC Cowboy Dunk.

Being first in line paid off, as O.G Ric was the first to receive his pair in a limited edition carbon fiber box.

SneakerJunki23 was also incredibly lucky, receiving one of the 23 limited edition carbon fiber boxed pairs.

Next up was NYC, arguably the capital of the sneaker world in the States. Hundreds were lined up early Saturday morning, making sure they were guaranteed a shot at the shoes through a raffle system. Fast forward to the night of 10.23.10 when the festivities finally began. In the house for the special occasion was Jadakiss.

Jadakiss speaks about his best Air Jordan memory, as well as what the Air Jordan line means to him.

Jada picks the first lucky winner of the Jordan CMFT 11 SC.

The crowd anxiously looks on as numbers are called, hoping to be one of the lucky few chosen.

One of the lucky few in NYC who made it out with a limited edition carbon fiber boxed Jordan CMFT 11 SC.

The final release took place in Santa Monica, California. As most of you know, the man, the myth, the legend was in the house: Tinker Hatfield. Tinker was on hand to celebrate the release of the CMFT 11 SC, as well as answer a few questions about the shoe that forever changed the footwear industry.

Most lined up incredibly early just for a shot at a pair via raffle, camping out overnight on Friday.

The West coast plays no games, bringing out the heat for the special occasion.

Tinker Hatfield and the man responsible for everything, Steve Mullholand.

Tinker also gave us a little insight on the Air Jordan 2011 and what we can expect. Tinker described the 2011 as a shoe that is still going to draw inspiration from the past, along with handcrafted materials and increased use of precise stitching.

For everyone who attended, the event was truly a once in a lifetime experience as well as one of the best ever put together by Sole Collector. Three cities in one day, the first SC x Jordan Brand collaboration and the release of the long awaited Ultimate issue, released in a limited edition orange hardcover at all three locations. We couldn’t have asked for more.
