If you've already acquired a retail pair of the Air Max LeBron 8, you've probably noticed "LeBron V/1" on the side of the pull-out box. If you were wondering exactly what that meant, we have the answer for you today. Joining the Air Max LeBron 8 this season will be the LeBron 8 V/2 (or Version 2), a shoe that maintains the same silhouette, but strips away some of the materials to improve weight. We'll take a closer look at the V/2 below.

The first thing you'll notice is the absence of material on the upper, including the carbon fiber side panels. The Flywire remains, but the leather upper and been replaced with a thin clear synthetic overlay, which is placed over a heavily ventilated base. The pair pictured features a white base, complimented by a grey tongue, black Swoosh and varsity red hits throughout.

We'll keep you posted on LeBron 8 V/2 developments. In the meantime, a few sizes are already available over at MarqueeSole.
