While he was the only player in the entire NBA wearing the Under Armour Prototype during the past season, it wasn't until earlier tonight that Brandon Jennings officially had his very own signature shoe soon to be arriving at retail.

During the upcoming season, Jennings will wear the Under Armour Micro G Black Ice, designed by John Humphrey. The name is derived from, of all things, the air freshener that Brandon swears by in his car.

Inspired by both his off-court all-black style and his on-court speed game, the Micro G Black Ice covers his needs for fit, maximum traction, cushioning and support. Featuring a forefoot strap at his request for added lockdown, an asymmetrical collar for protection and added range of motion, and of course, the conveniently high-fashion-esque colors of the Milwaukee Bucks, you can look for the Black Ice to be available during the second week of October.

Launching in three colorways, the Black/Black Black Ice (seriously - he likes black ...) and the White/Black/Red version, seen second, will be available first, with the white-based version a Foot Locker and Eastbay exclusive. During the second week of December, you can find the Black/Forest Green/Red colorway at retail, each for the price of $109.99.

Sole Collector was able to catch up with Brandon Jennings, Under Armour Director of Basketball Kris Stone, Basketball Category Leader Ryan Drew and Basketball Designer John Humphrey at the brand's official unveiling event held earlier today in New York City. Be sure to check back for interviews with all four and further details on Under Armour's grand launch plans.
