words_Brandon Richard A week ago, we saw the first images of the footwear collaboration between adidas and TRON: Legacy. The result of the collaboration were two pairs of adidas' TS Heat Check. The shoe, which typically features heat-sensitive material on the Three Stripes, now makes use of a new glowing technology that coincides with the Tron: Legacy film. We now have more information about that technology. The technology, developed by Oryon Tech, is called ELastolite. The glowing stripes you see are actually three-dimensional flexible lamps, crafted from polyurethane and a newly formulated ink. The patented technology from Oryon enables thin, flexible, crushable, water-resistant lighting systems to be incorporated into numerous product applications.
