words_Brandon Richard The start of the 97th Tour De France will take place tomorrow. What's special about this tour is that Lance Armstrong has already announced that it will be his last. One of the greatest cyclists of all time, Armstrong's achievements on the bike may be dwarfed in comparison to his continued work in cancer research. Since its inception in 1997, the Lance Armstrong Foundation has raised more than $325 million dollars to support the fight against cancer. They have provided financial resources to more than 550 organizations that conduct cancer survivorship research or offer services to people affected by cancer. Nike has been an official sponsor of Lance Armstrong's LIVESTRONG organization since 2004. They were responsible for creating the LIVESTRONG wristband, which undoubtedly took Armstrong's message to the next level. During that time, they've also collaborated on several sneaker and apparel designs. The latest LIVESTRONG shoe is a Dunk High that is set to release at this weekend. The LIVESTRONG Dunk High makes use of the classic black and gold colorway that the organization holds true to. The upper features a black premium leather. Yellow is seen on the tongue, Swoosh border, heel tab, and outsole. Also on the heel is a multi-colored design meant to represent the various bike racing nations set to compete at the Tour De France. This pair will release exclusively at UNDFTD LA this Saturday. via Eddie Cruz
