words_Brandon Richard Lakers high-flyer Shannon Brown didn't fare as well in the NBA Dunk Contest as many people believed. However, if the contest were judged strictly on elevation, Shannon may have no peer. For the contest, fans were given the opportunity to design a custom Kobe V iD for Brown to wear while dunking. The result was a red and metallic gold colorway that may have been better suited as a Western All-Star PE for Kobe. What some may not know was that there was an alternate colorway that Shannon would have worn had the online voting not occurred. Pictured below is the aforementioned alternate Shannon Brown dunk contest Kobe V. Dubbed the "Throw It Down" because of the graphic on the footbed, this shoe features a colorway that seemingly has no rhyme or reason. Metallic silver works on the Flywire panel, tongue, and toebox. White is seen on the forefoot, eyestay, and mesh around the upper ankle. The midsole is blue and sits atop a teal colored outsole. Lastly, red contributes on the trim, inner liner, and upper heel. via KLairyaw
