words_Brandon Richard Remember a few years back when the Bulls were reluctant to give up Luol Deng to acquire Kobe Bryant? The Bulls finally smartened up and were willing to part with Deng, just in time for the Lakers to pull Bryant off the table. Kobe went on to become league MVP, Olympic gold medalist, and NBA Finals MVP. Deng's career started to show signs of decline, as he was being hit left and right with injuries. This season, however, Luol regained the form that once made him one of the league's promising young talents. He saw an increase in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, and games played. These improvements in Deng's game helped the Bulls made a late-season charge into the NBA playoffs. This summer, the Bulls have an opportunity to land a big time free agent to help Deng and company contend for a NBA championship. The franchise has perhaps the best set of selling points amongst all teams in play for free agents. They have the big city, the history, the dollars, and the young nucleus of good players in place. Who will join Luol in the United Center? Only time will tell. via Inside Nike
