words_Brandon Richard In the midst of a season where we're watching LeBron James attempt to get over the proverbial hump to win his first NBA Championship, we flash back to the year 1991 when Michael Jordan was trying to do the same. After a 61-21 regular season, the Bulls went on to run through Patrick Ewing's Knicks, Charles Barkley's Sixers, and the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons before toppling Magic Johnson and the Lakers in the NBA Finals. Paying tribute to that historic season, the Jordan Brand has released the Jordan Classic '91. Touted as a throwback to early 90's style, this hi-cut sneaker features a white perforated leather upper, with black suede wrapped around the toe and heel. Black also makes up the tongue, laces, inner liner, outsole, and Wings logo on the side. The midsole consists of Internal PU technology, while a visible heel Air unit sits in the back for added comfort. These shoes are due to turn up at select retailers, such as Mita, this month. 05/2010 Jordan Classic '91 Color: Black/White Style: 384441-002 via Mita
