words_Brandon Richard Its been a tough couple of years for Northern California hoops fans. The Sacramento Kings missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season, and the Golden State Warriors watched the postseason from home for the 15th time in the last 16 seasons. The good news for both of these franchises? This past season saw the rise of two future NBA superstars, Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans of the Kings and runner-up Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Both of these young stars look to build on their fantastic rookie campaigns. More good news for Norcal hoop fans is the grand opening of the brand new House of Hoops store at the existing Foot Locker at Serramonte Center in Daly City, California. Festivities will kick off next Thursday, May 27th, and will feature an appearance from Stephen Curry himself. On top of the special guest, House of Hoops typically has a special release or two on the first day. No confirmation on what the release plans are for this event, but we'll keep you posted if we hear anything. If you're in the area and your schedule isn't full next Thursday, head on over to Serramonte Center and check out the scene. Sole Collector will follow up on this story next week. via Footlocker Unlocked
