words_Nick DePaula When Dwyane Wade took the floor earlier tonight at home against the lowly Golden State Warriors, he broke out a player exclusive version of the Air Jordan 2010 for the very first time in a Heat uniform. The White/Varsity Red colorway features a partially translucent outsole, and also includes a custom "WADE" embossing along the eyestay. During the official unveiling of the Air Jordan 2010 last November, Dwyane had this to say about the newest flagship Air Jordan model... "It's a different look, and when you think about it with gym shoes, you can say, 'Well, where else can you go with design?' I think one thing about the brand, is they find a different way to go. This design was going to be unique. One thing about it is the Air Jordan has always been a great performance shoe. It's very comfortable and hopefully that gives me a couple of inches on my vert. [laughs] Michael continues to keep telling me that he wants to see this shoe in the air and not on the floor, so I'm working on that." For those keeping score at home, he won the All-Star Game MVP last month while wearing the Silver Anniversary colorway of the Air Jordan 2010, and he put up 35 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the victory tonight.
