words_Nick Engvall Although the Reebok Pump spotlight may still be shining on other retros returning for the first time, like the Reebok Twilight, one of the family favorites is still being reissued on a regular basis. The Pump Omni Lite has seen its fair share of hits and misses over the last few years but hopefully it hasn't lost its appeal, because Reebok has more on the way this coming spring. Black and blue, silver and grey, and last but not least, gold and black make up the trio of new colorways that are now available at Flauge. Each of the colorways features of course the famed Pump system and Hexalite cushioning for comfort but a slight twist from the norm resides on the outer panel of the toebox. It seems to give the Pump Omni Lite a little extra texture, as the honeycombed Hexalite pattern has been used subtly to create a break from the otherwise smoothed or perforated sections of leather on the uppers. The Pump Omni Lite has had a generally lackluster success rate as of late, so is this group of solid colorways enough to bring it back to popularity, or is it time for Reebok to hit the release valve on this silhouette and pump up some other vintage silhouettes?
