In4mation x Vans Chukka Low
In4mation once again shows us how to proceed and continue.
words_Nick Engvall Hawaii's In4mation has been going strong since 2002. The key to their success is as simple as the roots of their name, teamwork. When the guys decided on a name many years ago, they looked no further than a favorite childhood cartoon. We all remember Voltron, and the way the Voltron team would assemble to form one unbeatable force. The In4mation team takes the same approach to their business, working together to become one unbeatable team. The approach works, as the brand has seen continued success over the years, to the point of expanding beyond their native islands, in the form of design studios in New York City. A number of In4mation collabs have been extremely successful, and it looks as if another is on the way. They have once again teamed up with Vans to rework the timeless Chukka Low. Canvas is the material of choice for this upcoming release. Fittingly the team has decided on a no-frills color combination for the simple silhouette. Blue is applied to the canvas uppers, then a white label and laces are put in place to balance out the look. While you might expect the traditional white vulcanized sole from Vans, In4mation has switched it up with a vulcanized gum bottom. The finishing touch is then applied in the form of a single red pinstripe. Those with a little more daring fashion sense can switch out the white laces for some In4mation labeled versions. The final product creates a fresh look that stays true to the company motto, "I shall proceed...and continue." On December 12th, In4mation will release the Vans collab, both online and in store. via Hypebeast
