Casio x Globe Destroyer words_Nick Engvall Australian based board sports footwear and apparel brand Globe has teamed up with Casio for a fresh collection for the spring of 2010. With a shared commitment to the skate and surf cultures, Casio and Globe decided that an entire collection was in order to represent the G-Shock heritage of toughness and technology with Globe's unrelenting history of products aimed to improve the lives of skateboarders and surfers alike. Casio chose to remake the DW5600GLB-7 in makeup inspired by the company's first G-Shock, the DW5000C. Along with the contrasting red back lit EL Globe logo, the DW5600GLB-7 comes in a white finish, and features a squared bezel. To keep it nice and clean while not on your wrist, a fresh black case custom engraved with Globe labeling and gold accents is a nice place to keep it safe and sound. The Globe x Casio Collection also includes a fitted with black on black embroidery, and a leather mesh bill, with the easily recognizable G-Shock logo emblazoned on the front. Finishing up the collection is the Destroyer sneaker, a high-top design that has a vintage 80's feel that features a co-branded embossed tongue tag. White was chosen for the base, while black and gold accents tie in both the DW5600GLB-7 G-Shock, as well as the fitted, to create a complete collection to have you fitted right from head to toe. The Casio x Globe Collection will arrive at select boutiques and skate shops beginning April 2010.
