As the 1998 NBA Finals came to an end, so did another era. Michael Jordan, after winning his sixth and final championship, retired for a second time. But during what was to be his final game, he wore a sneaker that no one had ever seen before, and this colorway was worn a year before it was actually released. We didn’t even know it was the Air Jordan XIV, or if it was ever going to be released for that matter, as information was not as easy to get back then as it is now. These were nicknamed the “Last Shots” because they were the sneakers worn by MJ while he took that historic last shot over Byron Russell which ended up being the game-winner for the 1998 NBA championship.
