“Running is a Love/Hate thing…and that is the New Balance,” proclaims the latest television and in-print advertisements from the diligent Boston, Massachusetts-based troupe New Balance. And to sway diehard running enthusiasts in the affectionate direction, NB has released the 1306—an explosive, aggressively molded product that proves to be the company’s first foray into implementing their Zip cushioning platform in a full-length format.
First introduced in ’06, Zip garnered high acclaim in the skeptical running world for its buttery smooth transition, sleek profile, and reassuring fit out back (It was initially introduced in the heel only).
Like many New Balance products, the 1306 is a vigilantly crafted piece of kit throughout, with several layers of durable, yet supple Biocool mesh lining the upper, and Acteva Light, a featherweight foam adding comfort to the midsole.
The revolutionary 1306 is available at most specialty running stores for a retail price of $119. For more information, check out www.newbalance.com. Both men’s and women’s versions are available.

That thing looks like a BEAST.
I loved the first iteration of Zip for its sweet transition and fit, so these look amazingly intriguing.
