Is this the resurrection of Penny or what!? Just two days ago I gave everyone their first detailed look at the Miami Heat inspired Penny II releasing in ‘09. Now 48 hours removed and I bring you the first detailed look at the Penny III.

The first glimpse of these came in the form of catalog pics (for a look at that as well as the first pic of the White/Black-Royal colorway check it out here.) But that just serves as a memory now. This colorway is one of the original colorways released back in 1997. So far two colorways are confirmed to return with this being one of them and another original color the white, black, and royal serving as the other.

These are very similar to the original with just a few slight differences. One that you can notice right away is the One Cent logo on the heel. It is no longer metallic silver and is more of a metallic black. But big deal right? All OG Penny fans should have no dislike in this retro model. So after re-cooping from the releases of the Penny II’s and Foam 1s, you can all then gear up for the return of the Penny III’s. I know I will.

These are scheduled to be released in 2009. Retail price is still yet to be determined but one can assume it will be around the same as the original’s.
