If you aren’t already tired of hearing about LeBron James’ expected! much-discussed potential move to NYC once his pending 2010 free agency status hits, I’ve got great news for you! The Cavs and Knicks will square off once again on Wednesday, a quick re-match after last week’s 119-101 drubbing at the Garden. Not only does this mean it’s time to rekindle those discussions about how Donnie Walsh is a mastermind in shedding bad contracts, King James’ “Global Icon” status would get a boost playing in the Mecca of Basketball, and Worldwide Wes will be pulling strings for the next two years to make sure the move happens, but it also means that LeBron has some new kicks in store, as he usually does against the Knicks.

The Cavs are slated to break out this season’s Hardwood Classics uniform at the Q tomorrow, and James will also debut a new colorway of the Nike Zoom LeBron VI, hinting back to the earliest years that Cleveland donned the wine and gold. With a white synthetic leather toe, white patent leather support rand and white leather-wrapped midsole, the heel is certainly where the shoe takes on most of its color, as a crimson-hued nubuck suede wraps around the heel counter and collar. I’ve always been a little shaky about colored 3M, as it can tend to give off a pinkish glare, but this shoe also features crimson 3M along the collar and eyestay piping. The finishing touches are added by the white/black faux carbon fiber rand along the heel, the white Swoosh border and LJ23 logo along the collar, and the unmistakably large wine-colored Swoosh and outsole grid pattern, which offers up some surprisingly good traction.
