Before he entered the league as a cocky 18-year-old sporting adidas, Kobe Bryant was terrorizing Philly-area schools as a young prodigy at Lower Merion High School in various Nike shoes like the Air Max Uptempo 95. Now, Nike is showing some love with a player exclusive colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk for the High School’s hoops squad. Just when you thought you’d already seen an endless amount of color and material combinations, this Hyperdunk features an all patent leather upper along with transclucent Flywire panneling and a trancslucent outsole. With the school mascot’s ‘Ace’ hit along the tongue, it’s definitely a hot colorway on-court when repping your school. Don’t expect these to drop, though it would be interesting to see them hit the House of Hoops as a consolation. After all the legal complications Nike battled with the High School when they tried releasing Bryant’s #33 Lower Merion Swingman jersey a few years ago though, I wouldn’t count on it.
