Jumpman23.Com Updated: October - December Releases

words by Steve Jaconetta

Recently Nike.com unveiled Jordan Brand release dates for the end of 2008. Well just a day ago Jumpman23.com kicks it up a notch with a plethora of images of not only shoes on the release dates list but others as well. We have some new styles, current styles, and old styles all releasing between October and December. Here’s a breakdown month-by-month of what’s to come from Jordan Brand this holiday season.

Besides the highly anticipated releases of the Air Jordan 3/20 Collezione package and the “concord” colorway of the Jordan Six Rings, October seems to look very promising with a lot more shoes releasing besides what’s hyped up the most. We have the next Jordan to join the Fusion series, the AJF20 with three lowtop colorways releasing. Three more colorways of the Air Jordan Retro 1 Low Phat will be released with a cool “Braggin’ Rights” Georgetown Hoya colorway being one with the same pattern found on the G-Town Jordan XV SE released earlier this year on the heel. Then for all the basketball players out there gearing up for the new season, the Jumpman Pro will make its first retro return with four new colorways.

Continuing on in October we also have the debut of a new Team Jordan, the Ol’ Skool II, designed by Justin Taylor. Also the Jordan Esterno and Dentro, which debuted this summer, will release some new flavors in low top form. Rounding out the basketball sneakers for the month is the return of the Hoops Low which will be released in a nice white/obsidian colorway. That’s not all either! Also that month we have the Jordan Blase, which is a nice casual-looking sneaker and will drop in two colorways alongside a new colorway of the Jordan Flipsyde in a colorway that we all love. November has just as much flavor!

The AJF20 mid will debut and be released in two colorways. One will be an original of the Jordan XX and the other a brand new one. The Jumpman Pro will continue dropping with three more colorways, one an original and two new ones. One gives off a black/zest Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE vibe while the other takes on an original colorway with a twist. The Esterno, Dentro and Hoops low will drop a total of 8 colorways combined, and the Jordan PHLY will comeback after a few months away. This time with the “legends” tag on them, the white/cement Jordan III inspired and a navy/green/white colorway with the number “Forty 4″ stitched on the side representing “Pistol” Pete Maravich. There is also a new colorway of the Jordan Flipsyde in a silver/orange peel/light graphite, which reminds me of the Jordan 3 LS from not to long ago.

Jordan Brand will also drop two more colorways of the new casual style Jordan Blase and debut a new Trunner! The Trunner XT will release in a nice black and silver colorway, perfect for all you Trunner fans out there who have been begging for a new addition to the line. Finishing off this month we also have a new colorway of the Air Jordan Retro 1 Low Phat with a unique design on the heel as well as patent leather on the side panel and wrapping around the toe. While most are trying to recuperate from the 8/15 Collezione and the Black Friday release of the final three colorways of the Air Jordan XX3 which includes the black/royal, black/red, and black/university blue colorways, December is right around the corner.

The biggest release of that month is obviously the Air Jordan 11/12 Collezione package, which drops the day after Christmas. Jordan Brand is also giving us a lot more exciting stuff to put on our Christmas (and other Holiday) lists. We have a few styles inspired by the black/royal blue and black/red original Air Jordan I colorways. Included in these colorways are the Jordan Ol’ Skool II, Air Jordan Retro 1 Low Phat, Jordan Flipsyde and the Jordan Esterno low. Nice to see the Phat lows in those great OG colorways, those are definitetly must-haves. The Jordan PHLY “Legends” series continues with three more colorways including one made for “Dr. J” Julius Erving.

Now for the ballers out there, we have the debut of the Jordan Team 2.5, designed by Kim Shane, in 5 colorways with them all taking inspiration from the Jordan III as well as the original black/white/red colorway of the Jumpman Pro that many have been waiting for. Finishing off 2008 we also have a new colorway of the Flipsyde, and a new colorway nice all white colorway of the Trunner XT. That’s 50+ Jordan releases! What a way to finish celebrating the year of the XX3 for Jordan Brand in 2008.
