words by Steve Jaconetta
The onslaught of the Air Jordan I continues. Finishing out 2008 will be a couple of Air Jordan 1 Retro Phat lows as well as one final colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro high.
While the Phat lows will be released only in men’s sizes, this high top will be released exclusively in gradeschool kid’s sizes. Sorry guys unless your shoe size is a 7 then you’re outta luck on this colorway. Similar to the original black/royal blue Air Jordan I, this retro has a twist. Also the colorway is not quite royal blue as it is named “vivid” blue.
Vivid blue is a light shade of blue than royal blue is. So while it’s not quite true to the OG, it’s the closest thing to it for kid’s that cannot fit into the Phat lows or do not have the retro’s from 2001. While the cut is true to the original, the print on the inside of the shoe is a brand new look. It features a graffiti-style print on the inner sockliner of the shoe.
Lookout for this Air Jordan I to be officially released at a store near you on Saturday December 6th and retail for $85. But for those to eager to wait, some places have already begun to sell these so checkout your local stores.
