Coming off a freshly earned Olympic Gold Medal, Chris Paul has even more reasons to smile these days, as his Hornets team gets ready for a promising season and his second signature shoe with Jordan Brand will be launched later this year around March. Jason Mayden, Senior Footwear Designer at Jordan Brand, put in work on the Jordan CP3 II, incorporating CP’s desire for a speedy guard-oriented with deep flex grooves and also reliable traction. A great improvement from the original Jordan CP is the improved fit around the collar and malleolus bones, as the first iteration in the line never quite did give that great feel of a lockdown that players of all positions desire.
It’s just a liiiittle too soon to dive into some hearty tech talk and in-depth design inspirations as this isn’t even the final production version and some tweaks are still to be made, but you can certainly expect to see a detailed breakdown of the CP3 II when the time is just right.
For now, here’s some varied angle pics courtesy of H. Leung to browse through. No word on if this will be a released in-line colorway either.
