As I spend hours perusing the World Wide Web for sneaker related news, photos, and obscure mid-90’s rap music all night, nightly, I often wonder what it’d be like if my shoes blatantly proclaimed profanity. I (We) now have an answer. Skater-friendly brand Etnies recently consorted with independent clothing brand Fucking Awesome to fabricate a unique version of the shoe company’s Plus Hi.
This is certainly a rare situation when a shoe speaks for itself. It’s all out there, if I may. There’s no hidden cushioning advancement that perceptibly improves board feel or even a unique upper material that helps to dissipate heat over the course of a long day of grinding. Instead, the Plus is overwhelmed by the “Fucking Awesome” logo, as it wraps around the each shoe’s heel, traveling from midpanel to midpanel, domineering what is otherwise a quaint silhouette. The hyper-branded model is limited to only 715 pairs, and is available now at Caliroots.
