A Celebration: Kevin Garnett TS Commander Mid!

To commemorate Kevin Garnett’s first NBA Championship, adidas has crafted a customized version of the ’08 TS Commander Mid that celebrates his accomplishments. The model is toned up in white/gold/green but is distinguished by a gold/green parquet pattern that hearkens back to the Celtics’ days in the Boston Garden. The shoe’s insole is lined with scores, dates, and logos from the 2008 NBA Finals while the inner lining is stamped with his latest moniker, “Champ.”

Up top, the Commander is marked by KG’s silhouette, a golden Celtics logo, and personal tidbits that relate to Garnett’s closest friends and mentors, Malik Sealy and Kirby Puckett. This celebratory pair is limited to only 17 autographed pairs (Identical to the number of banners hanging above Boston’s home court.) that will be made available through www.celtics.com/shop beginning on Opening Night, October 28 at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time. All proceeds and profits will go to the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, a charity that benefits local children through education and social iniatives.
